BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASHINGTON - FOUR HOMES
Bainbridge Island Washington will always be special to us. Due west of Seattle - 35 minutes by ferry - in the Puget Sound, Bainbridge is an eleven-mile-long five-mile-wide, three-elementary-school, one-high-school, two-grocery-store island of 25,000 people. We were fortunate to spend five years there and in that time we met so many interesting successful kind people, several who are still friends today. We built a house there and our first son was born while we lived there. We now love going back to see both the things that are exactly the same, and the things that have beautifully evolved.
This is a sampling of the incredibly special properties that dot the island - each with their own unique character. People take such pride in their homes and gardens on Bainbridge and it fills me with inspiration every time I visit.
Stunning Contemporary Ranch in Port Blakely.
Port Madison is my very favorite place on Bainbridge Island. This beautiful art-filled home exudes warmth and comfort
A gorgeous inland setting on acreage, this Asian inspired home is completely open. The rooms are defined by its architecture, and shoji screens conceal cozy reading nooks. It is a whimsical treasure box of travel treasures and art and family and flowers and light and life.
A peek of my friend Nancy & Martin's spectacular inland home. Both attorneys, they somehow find time to be masterful gardeners as well. More to come I hope!
