To travel is to Live

In 2016, instead of holiday gifts, I set my mind toward planning what would become one of the most satisfying journeys of our life. We had dear Western Australian neighbors we met in 2001 and moved back in 2008, who longed to visit. So just prior to Christmas in 2016 we visited our friends in Hong Kong (See “China”). Next, for the Christmas holiday we were on our own visiting Thailand (See “Thailand”) - but for the New Year Holiday, we visited the McClements Family at home in Perth and the Margaret River Wine Country. We met while our kids were being born and we lived a joyful chapter with them sharing our backyards and our dreams. James, who came from a large family of Miners found himself working all over the world raising money for Gold Mines, and they spoke often and fondly of their homes and families of Western Australia. I vowed we’d make it there someday and our someday finally arrived.
Special, beautiful, peaceful, calm in its isolation - It is a place I would literally love to stay the rest of my life.
